Avoid stretching the patch as you apply it. Stretching may seem like it creates a tighter hold, but it can cause the material to pull back during movement and lift at the edges. A relaxed, smooth application usually wears better.

Remove the patch immediately if you notice significant itching, burning, swelling, blistering, drainage, or a spreading rash. Do not place a new adhesive product over damaged or inflamed skin.
For removal, soften the adhesive gradually. Warm water during a shower can help, as can an adhesive-remover product that is suitable for your skin and device routine.
